The Ping i10 irons are designed to appeal to golfers who prefer the look of a smaller, blade-style club but still rely on the forgiveness of a cavity back. Its compact head features blade-like offset and a thin top rail to give it a players’ iron look. A narrow, cambered sole ensures performance and playability for golfers who place a high priority on shot control and the new cavity design is engineered to provide consistent performance and a solid feel across the club face. The Ping i10 irons rib structure of the Custom Tuning Port (CTP) stabilizes the face and improves feel and consistency. Weight savings from the new cavity and face structure is positioned on the low toe to provide a high moment-of-inertia for its blade length. The Ping i10's center of gravity location is closer to the face than the G10 iron to create a lower, more penetrating ball flight. The standard steel shaft is the new PING-designed Ascending Weight Technology (AWT) series. In the new series, the long iron shafts are lighter than the short irons shafts to produce a set that provides the golfer consistent weight progression from driver (the lightest shaft in the bag) through the wedges (the heaviest shaft in the bag). The new shafts help increase club head speed in the long irons and add control and consistency to the short irons.
